Vanity Publishers - Should You Avoid?

Vanity publishers are companies that charge authors to publish their books, rather than earning profits through book sales. Vanity publishers can offer services such as editing, cover design, and formatting that can help improve the appearance and quality of a self-published book. Additionally, vanity publishers often provide authors with a higher level of control over the final product and the process of publishing compared to traditional publishing.

These companies often make false promises and do not provide the same level of editing, marketing, and distribution services as traditional publishers or self-publishing platforms. Additionally, books from vanity publishers are often not widely available for purchase and may not have the same credibility as those from reputable publishers.

As a result, it is generally best to avoid vanity publishers and instead consider traditional publishing, self-publishing, or even not publishing at all.
