Traditional Publishing VS Self-Publishing

Traditional Publishing

Traditional publishing refers to submitting a manuscript to a publisher, who will edit, design, and distribute the book through bookstores and other retailers. Traditional publishing can offer prestige, a wider distribution, and a team of professionals to help with editing, design, and marketing. Presuming the company is reputable and is keen on making you money.

Self-Publishing

Self-publishing, on the other hand, is the process of publishing a book on one's own without the involvement of a traditional publisher. This can be done through various self-publishing platforms, such as Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), Lulu, or many others. Self-publishing, on the other hand, allows for more control over the finished product and the publishing timeline but can be more challenging regarding distribution and visibility. Being able to edit your book at a whim and republish it instantly is invaluable.
