Volunteering and assisting any way I can

With a lifetime in the building industry, I have developed skills including all aspects of building and maintenance, renovations and mods, landscaping and design, joinery, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and the list goes on.

I will exchange myself and my skills for a place to sleep and something to eat. Having run my own businesses in building and landscaping, designed and maintained sites for large companies including our Royal Mail and Water Authority. Provided teams for contracted remedial works for other larger building companies, and been foreman certified and Traffic Safety and Control Officer for one of the UK's largest Infrastructure services, my skills are varied to say the least. I can simply put my hand to anything, so it doesn't have to be something I am already experienced with.

I would also love to help out in wildlife, animal parks and sanctuaries of any kind. I was a park ranger in my teens and loved it. I would love to help with children too at orphanages and other refuges. As a father myself, I would love to help any way I can, like helping to build play-parks, housing and so on. I think I've covered quite a bit there :), but I'm serious, and it would be a pleasure for me to assist.

By volunteering my skills, labour, or assistance, I obviously get to save a little money that would otherwise go on campsites or cheap hotels and meals, and I get to enjoy helping out. I get to spend a day or longer in one place to enjoy the local culture, people, and surroundings before moving on. I also get to interact with other human beings for longer than a passing few minutes on the roadside

So don't be shy, get in contact with me if it looks like I could be passing through your part of a country at some point. I don't mind taking a detour either, as this just adds to my adventure, and I hope to pick up new skills as I go. And when I say detour, it could even be as big a detour as a whole other country. Yep, if you have something big enough and interesting enough to entice me offtrack by a whole country, I might make that detour.
